چکیده

743 Abstract— An implementation for surface EMG network analysis and vertical control system of robotic arm is presented in this paper. The transmembranes are simulated by equivalent circuit and cable equation for propagation to be converted to circuit networks. The implementation is realized to be derived from the detecting EMG signal from 3 electrodes, and EMG transmembrane signals of human arm muscles are detected by several surface electrodes, high performance amplifier and filtering, converting analog to digital data and driving a servomotor for spontaneous robotic arm. The system is experimented by monitoring multiple steps vertical control angles corresponding to biceps muscle movement. The experimental results are that the vertical moving control level is measured to around 2 degrees and mean error ranges are lower 5%.

Real-Time Classification of Electromyographic Signals for Robotic Control

Advances in bioengineering have led to increasingly sophisticated prosthetic devices for amputees and paralyzed individuals. Control of such devices necessitates real-time classification of biosignals, e.g., electromyographic (EMG) signals recorded from intact muscles. In this paper, we show that a 4-degrees-of-freedom robotic arm can be controlled in real-time using non-invasive surface EMG si...

Decoding a new neural machine interface for control of artificial limbs.

An analysis of the motor control information content made available with a neural-machine interface (NMI) in four subjects is presented in this study. We have developed a novel NMI-called targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR)-to improve the function of artificial arms for amputees. TMR involves transferring the residual amputated nerves to nonfunctional muscles in amputees. The reinnervated muscl...

Study on Virtual Control of a Robotic Arm via a Myo Armband for the Self- Manipulation of a Hand Amputee

This paper proposes a Myo device that has electromyography (EMG) sensors for detecting electrical activities from different parts of the forearm muscles; it also has a gyroscope and an accelerometer. EMG sensors detect and provide very clear and important data from muscles compared with other types of sensors. The Myo armband sends data from EMG, gyroscope, and accelerometer sensors to a comput...

Artificial Human Arm Driven by EMG Signal

Robot arms are versatile tools found in a wide range of applications. While the user moves his arm, (EMG) activity is recorded from selected muscles, using surface EMG electrodes. By a decoding procedure the muscular activity is transformed to kinematic variables that are used to control the robot arm. EMG signals have been used as control signals for robotics devices in the past. EMG signals, ...
